Planning permission has been granted for this rural barn conversion with a new contemporary addition. The new complex will house an office space in a former barn with original high ceilings and a modern open plan living space in the new bit. The glass link interconnects the two volumes together, yet keeps them apart to preserve what has always been there and what is a 21st century architecture. The extensively glazed facade makes the most of the adjacent terrace and garden as well as lets the maximum daylight in the interior. On the barn the original barn door have been opened up and twisted into a big glazed curtain walls to bring light into a double height working space as well.
